At approximately 5200 feet above sea level, the Lake Atitlan area enjoys year-round spring-like weather (70s to low 80s during the day and 60s at night). Although temperatures remain relatively constant throughout the year the weather is marked by two distinctive seasons: the rainy season (May to October) and the dry season (November to April). During the rainy season the mountains and volcanoes surrounding the lake are verdant green. The mornings are generally crystal clear, while the afternoons bring spectacular showers that are a sight to behold as they roll in over the lake. During the dry season it is rare to receive any precipitation at all. La Casa Colibri has five luxurious guest rooms each with en-suite bath. Four rooms have spacious balconies overlooking the lake. Two rooms have deep soak tubs with separate showers.

I think it's one of the best places in Quiche, perfect for 2 people

I stayed at Julio's place with my husband and 2 kids. It was a blast! We really enjoyed it! Most beautiful view in that area around the lake ! Julio is very responsible,helpful and friendly as all his stuff! I Would recommend it to all!

"The Suy's Brothers House"

it was a beautiful place to stay in. finding it was a bit difficult but we found it. Tomas was a very nice guardian and he took his time to show us the house. if you're coming to see the market this is the perfect place to stay at. The market was about 3 minutes walking. the parking is a little tricky if you decide not to pay for parking but it's definitely doable.

A shaded balcony features a small round table surrounded by two wrought-iron chairs. The wooden flooring adds a natural touch, while greenery and trees are visible in the background, enhancing the outdoor setting.

This was a great location to reach both San Pedro and San Juan. Like the other reviews, the rocky walkway up might be a hassle for some people, but was not a major issue for us. The host was extremely responsive and helpful, offering to assist us with our luggage up and down. He also gave us recommendations and gave advice when asked for. View is great to wakeup to. Was also a nice TV with streaming services included. Good wifi. Julian made the trip much better. It is always nice to have a host like this. The downsides were no hot water, and the room got quite stuffy and humid — likely because of the weather. It was uncomfortable to sleep at times because everything felt sticky, despite the powerful fan. The bed was also not very comfortable, but it did the trick. Kayaks included were quite bad condition and the location on the lake for kayaking is not great. My review is primarily based on the host and location between towns.

Great place to stay in Chichicastenango! The Cofrades family is very friendly and I enjoyed some great, thoughtful conversation with Annie during my time at the Air B&B. The food from their restaurant was excellent! The location is about 20 minutes walking from the center of Chichi, which was fine for my travel needs. The night before the market there was more traffic passing by at night, but the family provided ear plugs which was helpful. I would definitely choose to stay here again!
