Vacation rentals in Chase County

Cute, comfortable "tiny house" off a country road in a quiet, peaceful meadow beside a creek. Made a great base for us to explore the nearby Tallgrass Prairie Preserve. We enjoyed eating meals on the front porch, seeing the cattle across the road, and watching the incredible bird life around the cottage. The delicious homemade muffins, granola, and fresh eggs were a nice touch. Quality appliances and kitchen equipment. The only negatives were the lack of some kitchen tools and space to store our luggage. We didn't use the loft, as the ceiling is only about 4 feet high; it would work for children. We would have been happy to stay a few more days.

I traveled to Kansas for a bike race weekend in Emporia with my fiance and friend. We were going back and forth from Emporia to the silo and absolutely loved the quiet, relaxing environment each night. The silo is beautifully renovated with an eye for small details. We loved our stay!

Once again we had a great time staying at Matfield Station! This place is pure paradise for someone that loves the beauty and serenity of the Flint Hills. My wife and I have stayed there on a few difference occasions, but this time I brought a friend of mine that is a fellow train nut, specifically for its location close to the tracks. Unequivocally, there is no better place in the midwest for train watching. Just open the door, sit on the back deck, sip your cocktail and watch the trains roll by. Perfection!

This is a great place to stay if you enjoy a quiet relaxing place to stay. We drove our side-by-side around the county and enjoyed the countryside. Had bond fires in the evening and relaxed, cooked hot dogs and had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful. Tim and Lisa are great hosts.

Booked a last minute getaway to the flint hills and enjoyed our day and pleasant evening relaxing at this space. Clean and more than enough room for the 2 of us. Comfortable bed and temperature control for a nice relaxing rest. Enjoyed the fire pit and wandering around the riverside too!

This was our second time visiting Paw Print Cabin for a weekend family getaway, and we hope to return again someday soon. The cabin had everything we needed for a comfy stay: comfortable beds, a well-stocked kitchen, games to play as a family. The surrounding land was fun to hike through and explore. Our kids had a lot of fun playing by the creek, and we all had fun on several outings to nearby attractions (Tallgrass Prairie and Chase State Fishing Lake). We'd highly recommend Fur N' Feather's Paw Print Cabin, and look forward to coming back again in the future.
