Vacation rentals in Cat Ba

Thu Ha was a wonderful host and has created a beautiful homestay in Cat Ba - a secret garden. She was warm, friendly and very helpful with reccomendations for tours and spots to visit. It is conveniently located for Ha Long Bay tours, although a little away from the main town. Thank you, Thu Ha!

Ha was so helpful, and made sure we had no trouble getting to the accommodation, and even had scooters ready for us - on our request - when we arrived. She also provided help with boat bookings, and had some great coffee in-house too! The place was quite magical. We rented all 5 rooms in the place, and it felt like a mini magical limestone cliff abode of our very own with any and all facilities we may have wished for. The rooms themselves were gorgeous, made of pine wood (love that smell!), with their own balconies and stone bathrooms. Absolutely gorgeous! There is also an enormous upper deck loaded with cold beers, teas, and loaaads of relaxing couches, chairs and tables overlooking the bay. All in all, we couldn't have been happier with our stay!

Wir wurden sehr herzliche begrüßt und haben uns im Aroma House sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Unterkunft war nicht mitten in der Stadt, wodurch man seine Ruhe hat, was wir sehr gut fanden. Die Anbindung ist trotzdem super und man ist schnell mitten im Geschehen und in wenigen Minuten dort wo viele Touren am dem Wasser stattfinden. Ha hat uns geholfen eine Tour und auch den Transfer zum Flughafen zu buchen, was wirklich sehr hilfreich war und ein super lieber Service. Von der Terrasse auf dem Haus hat man zudem noch einen schönen Ausblick auf das Wasser. Wir können einen Aufenthalt sehr empfehlen :)

Cadre exceptionnel. Vielle Maison authentique. Les photos parlent d’elles-mêmes. Thu Ha est très réactive et amicale. De très bons repas sur place possibles. L’équipe sur le lieu est très attentionnée. Nous avons adoré la nuit au milieu de la jungle. A recommander pour les amoureux de nature.

Staying at Ha’s Ancient Villa was an unforgettable experience. The place is absolutely stunning, immersed in nature and rich with history. Nestled in a natural park, the villa — built centuries ago by a local dynasty — offers a magical dive into the past. The food was exceptional: fresh, healthy, and delicious. May, who is incredibly friendly and welcoming, made us feel like part of the family. We even celebrated a birthday party together, which made our stay even more special! We also spent an entire day with Lu, their sweet dog, and completely fell in love with him. The whole family and the surrounding area are simply wonderful. Ha herself is extremely responsive and attentive to every need, making sure everything was perfect. If you are planning to visit Cat Ba, we cannot recommend this place highly enough. A truly unique and heartwarming experience!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Yen Hidden Valley. The room was exceptional, you could not beat the view over the pool and into the valley. The aircon worked so well I had to put on a sweater at night. This gem is tucked away from the hustle and bustle and construction and exhaust fumes from the city center, this place was tranquil and a needed respite from the chaos nearby while still being very accessible by scooter or taxi. We have to say the service was second to none. We had help from Ania before arrival, she was so helpful in answering any and all questions we had. On arrival we were collected and greeted by Huy who is an absolute gem. Night and day he was able to assist with anything we needed, there at breakfast and dinner, always able to arrange whatever we needed. Extra towels, corkscrew, coconut ice cream- he’s going to help you with it all 10/10!

Couldn’t recommend this place enough! It is a perfect retreat away from the busy roads and was a great place to relax and recharge for the week. The view from the balcony is beautiful and we felt right at home. The staff were all so lovely and the breakfast and coffee was delicious. Thanks again!
