Surrounded by pastures, it's a short walk to the Mad River for swims and walks. The Mad River Brewery is less than a mile up the road. Excellent mountain biking is 1 mile away. In a 15 minute drive you can find the hip town of Arcata, surrounded by redwoods and hiking as well as a majestic coastline. Sundays 10 am to noon we host a family friendly ecstatic dance in the studio adjacent to the apartment. Expect music at that time. Come join us! Public Yoga classes are Tuesday & Saturday am.

You’ll have the view of Ironside Mountain and the sound of the rushing Hennessy Creek while you’re soaking in an outdoor tub giving you that peaceful getaway feel. Fishing, kayaking, whitewater rafting, mountain biking and dirt bike riding are just some of what’s to offer in these rugged lands.

Private home in Shasta-Trinity Forest

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. No place on earth can best the stunning beauty of the Shasta-Trinity national forest. Full of clear turquoise rivers, sandy beaches, and breath taking waterfalls. Property spans 15 acres and has many trails connecting it to the forest, including one trail that leads down to a sandy bar on the river just east of the Burnt Ranch Gorge. Fish in the pond and river- large deck with views overlooking the river as it cuts between the mountains.

Creative, fun, cozy Yurt

Our yurt is a place of tranquility & fun in the round. It’s a perfect for a romantic getaway or family vacation. You have private river access located next to the Strawhouse Cafe’ across the street where you can swim, fish, relax, and/or hike nearby trails. The yurt's kitchen is outfitted with a small fridge, an air fryer, a toaster oven, an induction plate & microwave. You also have access to a charcoal BBQ. It is located on the park side, and you have private river access.

Muddy Duck Cottage

If you are looking for a farm stay in the redwoods, come stay with us at this studio cottage with a full kitchen, washer dryer, patio, and fire pit. Enjoy the early morning (and sometimes all day) sounds of ducks, geese, turkeys and cattle . Surrounded by acres of Redwood trees, no street lights, and lots of wildlife. Enjoy the stars from the patio in redwood rocking chairs. The cottage has Roku Smart TV, NETFLIX, WIFI & all basic bath & kitchen essentials.
