Our home is located in historic Louisa County in Central Virginia on a five-acre wooded lot facing the South Anna River. Richmond is 30 minutes away and Charlottesville is less than an hour. The entire lower level of our home is used for the Airbnb. (We live in the upper level.) The decor is "homey" with some personal items. Children, pets, and smoking are not allowed. The internet is fast and cell phones work with WiFi calling. Food deliveries are not available due to our remote location.

The garage is converted into a game room with pool, ping pong and more! Outdoors has a covered patio, hot tub, fire pit, grill, hammock, fenced dog area, and lots of seating. This is the perfect retreat for anyone wanting less noise, more nature, small town vibes, water sports and lake life.

I've been on 10 total airBnb trips & this one was the best! This space was private, quiet, and gorgeous. Very roomy for 2 people. It made for the perfect getaway for a birthday trip. Shoshannah is a helpful & friendly host. Do not hesitate to book this place! Also, the retro fridge is so cute & it is a lot bigger in person!

Wendy was one of the best hosts I’ve ever interacted with on Airbnb. She was so friendly, helpful and felt like she was a family friend the way she wanted to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. She even offered to have a little campfire lit so we could make s’mores with the kit they have supplied. The house also had literally everything we could have possibly needed. It was so nice to feel like I was home in the fully supplied, welcoming kitchen, comfortable, cozy bedrooms and bathrooms with everything you could need and more. Wendy was also so easy to get in touch with. We had some flight delays coming in and ended up checking in around 11pm but Wendy made sure we got in ok and was responding to messages even late at night to make sure we were ok and comfortable. The best experience. I can’t recommend Wendy and chicory cottage enough. Thank you thank you!

We did a girls’ weekend here and had an amazing time. The location is beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. There were lots of spaces to hang out and relax. Our favorite spot was the beach area. This place was a gem.

The property is brilliantly located, right on the lake. The Dock House was a perfect place to hang out and read, fish, watch T.V. and socialize. We especially liked that the home had sleeping amenities on all three floors, and private bathrooms. The downstairs area provided a perfect space for the kids to play games, and bunk up in bunk bed room. Lastly, the appliances were top of the line, the stove, oven, washer/dryer etc..

A spacious suite layout features designated areas for the kitchen and living room. The kitchen showcases cabinetry, appliances, and countertop space. The living room includes a couch with reclining features facing a TV, providing a comfortable social setting. Natural light comes from multiple windows.

Wow, this house was amazing! Totally exceeded my expectations. Lynn has thought of everything to make your stay as easy and relaxing as possible. A fully stocked kitchen, tons of floats and toys for around the lake, toys for kids, instructions and hints everywhere. She also had great communication throughout our stay and was very gracious to answer questions midweek. I would absolutely recommend this house to anyone and I hope my family and I can stay here again!
