Villa vacation rentals in Black River

We have just returned to the UK after a 14 day vacation in the villa. We had a fantastic holiday the villa is beautiful inside and out. Perhaps our favourite area was the veranda. Its wraps around the villa and has many different seating areas. We spent most evenings out there. Garry is an amazing host he met us at the villa and showed us around also providing great information about Mauritius eating out beaches etc. He kindly allowed us to check out a little later. We ate out at Le Meridian and Revive several times they are local and within walking distance. Friendly staff and excellent food. La Voglia Matto Pizza eat in or takeaway is worth a visit. Absolutely recommend this villa. Thank you Garry Martyn and Christine

Very beautiful holiday home with peace and quiet . The person who comes to clean every morning is very nice! A little hard to get used to setting and removing the alarm but at least you feel safe

We had a great time at this beautiful place. Everything was as described in the listing and Xavier was a perfectly attentive host. Much more than a roof over our heads, he offered us the experience of the island and the kindness of its inhabitants. We needed someone to babysit our two kids for a day and he found us the perfect person for that. We only stayed 4 nights this time but we'll be happy to come back to Xavier's. Thank you for everything.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at Marine’s place. Marine’s villa has a beautiful outlook - the photos don’t do it justice! We enjoyed being in this quiet and peaceful home, which had lots of places to simply sit and enjoy the surroundings. Marine was so very kind, and shared her local knowledge and recommendations. If you enjoy your independence, but also some luxury, Marine’s villa is the perfect base to explore Mauritius!

Big house, big garden, nice host and a lot of coconuts to eat.

We have absolutely loved staying at Harry’s. We stayed at Harry’s for four weeks and there was nothing that wasn’t fantastic. Harry was very responsive and helpful from the day we booked. No query was too much whether that be to do with the house, tamarin or Mauritius in general. The photos do not do the house or the views justice. The house is wonderful and far grander than you expect, especially the entrance hall. The mountain behind the house is just the most perfect backdrop for any lazy pool day. The secret sliver of a sea view over the end wall is also there to enjoy. The house itself… All of the beds were incredibly comfy (travelling with three small children meant I got to try them all) and the views from the rooms were fantastic. The internet speed was great enabling us both to work from the dining room table or outdoors and there was all you would need to cook and live a comfy life. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Harry’s again. Thanks Harry for a wonderful stay.

We as family of 7 thoroughly enjoyed our 5-day stay in May 2025 at Nandita's cosy and spacious villa, complete with all amenities in her description. The kitchen is fully equipped with rice cooker, fridge, stove, toaster, etc. There is a "Winners" store for your groceries etc. though the are is loaded with food trucks, lovely restaurants. It is so close to the Pereybere Beach that has pristine white sand. With her assistance we rented a car and it worked very good for us. Or else one can take bus to other areas from the bus-stop of the beach. Though the pool is small for a swim, it is great for a poolside party. One of the days my wife asked for hair-dryer and found it too. One bathroom has a bathtub as well. We will come again and stay at this or another place curated by her. And will definitely stay longer, do the barbeque, read a book on poolside, and many things that we didn't find time for in this trip. Everyone in my family wondered how I found her place, and I am glad I did.

A wonderful stay. The villa has spectacular views to the north and the layout for indoor/outdoor relaxation is fantastic. A lovely pool that gets north sun so is warm even in Mauritius 'winters'. Daily cleans from Pooga worked well - I was alone so never availed myself of any of her cooking which I gather is also an option. The place is near 'everything' - the best restaurant in the country is 20 mins away and there are tons of options 5-15 mins away. Groceries are as little as 5 mins away, 12 tops. Nice spa is also only 5 minutes away. Sunsets are glorious every night. Looking forward to another visit!

We had the best stay at this incredible villa in Mauritius! The garden and pool area were absolutely beautiful—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the tropical surroundings in a private setting. The villa was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and Catherine was extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. I booked this trip as a birthday surprise for my boyfriend and Catherine was incredibly kind and decorated the villa and got us a cake, which made our arrival even more special. Everything was exactly as described, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would highly recommended this Villa!

We had a great stay at the villa. It looks exactly like the photos, beautiful villa with a private beach access. The host was super responsive and guided us throughout our stay. The location of the villa is huge positive. Great eateries are closeby. Mon Choisy beach is at a walkable distance. We would definitely love to visit again.

We had a fabulous family holiday at Bluemoon Villa. The villa has a homely, casual beach vibe and had everything we could need. The housekeeper was friendly and helpful and cooked or prepped for us on a few occasions. The villa is situated right on a lovely beach.

The villa is exceptional in a beautiful and quiet setting. Better than the pictures. The sound of the waves is so present and relaxing. Sunset walks are very beautiful. Ideal villa to unwind. Thanks to Telvina, Madou and Anoushka for their hospitality.

Lovely house, spacious and airy. Comfortable beds. Well positioned between the sea and the pool with a breeze keeping the temperature perfect the whole time (I guess this may vary at different times but we great for us). Cook (Dorine) and cleaner were attentive and kept the place clean and use fed well. Sophie was available and responsive before and during our stay with advice and suggestions as needed. Highly recommend for a relaxing, quiet and comfortable holiday.

We were blown away by the beauty of the villa when we arrived. It is the perfect balance of luxury & home, without feeling like you have invaded someone else's space. The staff were great at keeping the place tip top, and we enjoyed some gorgeous mauritian cuisine prepared. The garden and pool are a stunning place to enjoy the Mauritian sunshine. Whole heartedly recommended!

Beautiful house in a unique and quiet location. Very nice that a nice meal is prepared daily. This made our stay much more relaxing. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and perfectly chilled. The view is breathtaking and after a day on a trip it is wonderful to relax at this quiet place. I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone wanting to visit Mauritius.

Anthony was a great host! He is very friendly and accommodating. We were a group of 6 adults and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The views were sublime and we spent most of our time enjoying the outdoor living area. We used a chef Anthony recommended and the meals did not disappoint. Chef Colette and her husband Patrick prepared all our meals and even did a multi course dining experience for a birthday dinner in which each course was reflective of a different country's cuisine. 10/10 dining experience. The concierge Morgan was also very helpful and a pleasure to work with as well. Would definitely stay here again and use the same team as well. We really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed with my parents (four adults and two small children). On arrival (flexible schedule) small touches were waiting for us (appreciable), we discovered a house that matched the description (secure, spacious, clean, with everything necessary for daily life…) in a small quiet street, just a 5-minute walk from the beach. Pleasant pool and possibility to park a car in the yard (even two) Yoshi and his mom are very nice people, we highly recommend their rental!!

We had a very pleasant stay in this unusual and particularly beautiful house in Albion. The accommodation is modern, clean and quiet – ideal for relaxing. The well-kept garden with pool is a real highlight, as is the stylish bathroom with an outdoor feeling. The hostess Camille always responded immediately and was super helpful. Pamela, who came twice for cleaning, was very personable and thorough. A jewel - thank you so much for this service. A rental car is highly recommended, as the house is somewhat hidden and difficult to reach without a car. In Mauritius, many wild cats live, even at the house, a cat mom lives with her kitten - they spent the night on the couch:-) Small suggestion for improvement: In our opinion, the cutlery could be renewed. Overall a great place to stay – we felt very comfortable!

Great location for kitesurfers. It’s close to the kitesurfing spot in Le Morne. The town has plenty of great restaurants with excellent food. The villa is very spacious and the kitchen is well-equipped. We were four adults and a child, and we still had plenty of privacy. We’d love to come back someday ❤️

Corinne's place was a dream! Really clean and luxurious, and she communicated very well. We're happy to have stayed here and would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Tamarin.

Sophie is a very welcoming, helpful, always available host; she has very good recommendations and very good tips. This stay was even more magical thanks to Sophie; more than just a rental, it feels like home; it was a very nice meeting. The accommodation is excellent. We can only recommend them to anyone! Rayyaan is an excellent host, always helpful and hospitable. He gave us valuable tips for Mauritius and told us a lot about the country. He was always available for questions. Communication was easy, straightforward and fast. The villa is fully equipped and looks exactly as shown in the pictures. The private pool was our personal highlight. The house is completely secured. We felt safe and well taken care of. Even though the place is next to a road, it didn't bother us. The nights were quiet. The walk to a beautiful beach can be done in a few minutes. Also to some restaurants/snack bars. We were able to park our rental car right next to the property. We enjoyed the time at Rayyaan very much and will recommend the accommodation to anyone who wants to visit Mauritius.
