Historical Water Tower Montabaur

Built in 1879, the listed water tower in Montabaur offers a special and cosy ambience. In a prime location in Montabaur, between the ICE train station and the old town, pretty much everything the city has to offer is within walking distance. The tower is historically preserved, but still offers many modern amenities. Around 1990, it was completely renovated and converted into living space. In 2023 it was renovated with a new bathroom. In the rugged Upper Westerwald, directly on the wild and romantic Holzbach Gorge, where the Holzbach stream has carved its bed into the basalt over the millennia, the days are simply different. Longer, more eventful, more relaxing. Feel at home here and experience a special place to recharge your batteries, strength, and inspiration. A fire pit with firewood, a swivel grill and a kettle grill are available. Towels and bed linen are provided upon request (for an additional charge).

Large kitchen, fireplace, piano, "Irish Pub", balcony and garden and nature right outside the door are waiting for you. Hiking trails, the nearby forest and attractive excursion destinations in the Westerwald invite you to explore. For couples or small groups of up to 4 people – peace, comfort and barn atmosphere included.

The accommodation was designed with a lot of love for detail. The house shines with independence and special character. The house is heated with a wood pellet heating system. The electricity is generated by a hydroelectric power station adjacent to the valley mill. Sandbox, barbecue area in the garden, table tennis, table soccer, plenty of space to play and direct access to cycling and hiking trails offer you the conditions for a pleasant stay. A place to relax and enjoy.

The house is surrounded by greenery and yet close to the city. The panorama over the Rhine Valley and the city up to the Deutsches Eck is unique. The house is flooded with light. In the living room there is a Steinway grand piano and a library. Have breakfast in the conservatory or on the terrace in front of the kitchen. One of the bedrooms is particularly large and has its own bathroom. In three of the bedrooms, the mattresses have been on the floor so far.

Get to know life in a tiny house in romantic nature. The sustainable building was completely designed and built in-house. High standards of design and materials as well as a kind of breathtaking view from the panoramic living area leave nothing to be desired. The glazed living area overlooking nature is just one of the highlights. A private hot tub is on the patio. The kitchen is fully equipped. The hot tub can be used all year round.

Newly renovated apartment "Suseria" in the WW

Feel at home in our vacation home "Suseria." It is a newly renovated attic apartment for 4-6 people in 2024, in a quiet residential area in the Westerwald. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, there is also an open area in which the kitchen, dining and living room can be found as well as 1 bathroom (shower & bathtub) and is a total of about 100 square meters. Guests can use a small gym directly across the street from 6 am to 11 pm.

Particularly noteworthy is the small garden, where various fruits grow that our guests are welcome to harvest. The house has an open bedroom, a bathroom with shower and toilet and offers a beautiful view over the fields and the Baybach valley. In addition, there is an open kitchen with all the necessary kitchen utensils. The highlight: Enjoy the sunrise with a cup of coffee right from the bed.

Westerwald time out

"Time out" is the motto here and stands for a few relaxing days in our cozy wooden hut on the edge of the Holzbach Gorge, in the "Fohlenwiese vacation village." The surroundings offer hiking trails (directly on the Westerwaldsteig) as well as swimming lakes and vast forests that can be explored by bike... For absolute relaxation, we offer an infrared heat cabin for two people.
