Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Basque Country

What a wonderful stay we had in your beautiful home! There was everything we needed including a fabulous shower with good water pressure and tons of hot water. It was like having a home away from home. We stayed for 5 weeks and explored the entire Basque region by car, from Santander to Burgos to Pamplona to San Sebastian and Bearritz/Bayonne. This home is centrally located and Berango itself offers a nice small town neighborhood feeling. The metro is close by but we found driving into Bilbao more convenient. It's also close to some fine beaches. Garbiña is a terrific host -- very friendly, funny and caring. We hope to return again.

We had a good stay, and most importantly would stay again. This is very much an airbnb flat with comfortable beds, nice shower, washer / dryer, and basic kitchen. The location is what makes it stand out, and the easy access to the city made the slightly funky living room and small kitchen unimportant. The hosts were great communicators, with clear check in instructions and great parking tips. We had some issues during the stay- -partying neighbors having a jam session from 1-3am, part of Saturday night in a city and it’s a very old building. - this unit shares an entry way with another unit that’s also managed by this host. The guests staying in the other unit were smoking inside and the smoke filled the entry way and flowed into our unit. The hosts asked them to stop, which they did for a short while, and then started again. Luckily we only had one day crossover, but was unfortunate. The hosts did their best

Un village très joli, un peu isolé dans la montagne. Un logement très agréable, propre et bien fourni. On a découvert de belles randonnées et beaucoup de choses à faire aux alentours. Ibai très accueillant et de bons conseils ! On risque de revenir :!! Merci!

This place is so unique and a great place to stay when visiting the beautiful Rioja region of Spain. It was comfortable, quiet, and the setting and area are lovely. The host did great giving us recommendations and was very communicative. Getting wine from your own cellar is amazing and the wine was very good! Highly recommend!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans le logement de Phil. Dépaysement total dans le petit village de Léorza, calme et reposant. Le logement est rustique avec des équipements modernes et de bonne qualité, des objets fabriqués, taillés dans le bois, qui reflétent la personnalité de son hôte. Ce qui nous a marqué le plus reste la personne de Phil : accueillant, généreux, sympathique et attachant, comme si nous étions des amis, même ses animaux sont sympas. Belle expérience inoubliable.

Space was spotless, views were incredible, beaches walkable. Gorka was incredibly responsive and Igor made checking in a breeze. We picked up fresh fish and steak from the market in Bilbao and really enjoyed the charcoal grill. We loved watching the tides roll in and out of the estuary from the deck. The view changes by the hour!

This is a lovely apartment - modern, tasteful and comfortable- in the perfect spot . Jon was amazing ,- welcoming us, sending quick and helpful replies to lots of questions! and great to deal with . Thanks Jon!

Het is een klein dorpje met ongeveer 10 huizen. 2,5 km de berg omhoog aan het einde van de weg. Heerlijk rustig. Ruim huis met alle voorzieningen. Beneden een heerlijke douche. Goed 2-persoons bed op de slaapkamer met kinderbed. Bijzonder vriendelijke host die ons kwam verwelkomen.

We loved this apartment! It was in an amazing location, you can walk to so many places to eat, shop and just walk in great area, Amaia was lovely to be flexible on time, found us parking and made arrangements to help us. Great suggestions for local places to visit. Very communicative!! We would love to stay here again!!

Living in the heart of Old Town yet away from the bustle was ideal! Fantastic facility, great warm host, lovely stay! Santiago is a great host who was helpful, responsive and we had a great time here. The location is golden and comfort was absolute.

Bonito apartamento y pueblo. Muy céntrico. Supermercado a 2 minutos andando también hay muchos restaurantes (no todos buenos). Mucho ambiente por la noche. Difícil aparcar pero Eva te ofrece Pàrquing, así que mejor cogerlo. Muy recomendable para pasar un fin de semana.

Super logement, parfaitement conforme à l’annonce ! Nous avons passé un excellent week-end. L’emplacement est idéal avec une magnifique vue sur la plage. Rien à redire, tout était parfait. Un grand merci à notre hôte, très accueillant et disponible tout au long du séjour !

We had a wonderful stay at Jon’s apartment. It was exactly as described very clean and modern. The location is perfect for exploring the city , bars, restaurants and beaches. We will 100% rebook in the future. Jon was a fantastic host giving us lots of information about the city in advance, very clear directions to his apartment. Very useful information about booking bus travel and also arranged our airport transport with a local taxi . All invaluable information. Perfect host . Thank you Jon

Marta es una estupenda anfitriona. Nos recibió personalmente, a pesar del retraso de nuestro vuelo y nos hizo todo tipo de sugerencias útiles , aclarando también todas nuestras dudas. Siempre pendiente de nosotros de forma discreta, con Marta se tiene la sensación de que si hubiera algún problema, ella ayudaría a resolverlo. Al llegar tan tarde se preocupó de que tuviéramos algo para desayunar al día siguiente y al tener la salida tan temprano, nos facilitó el contacto para el transporte al aeropuerto. Del alojamiento, decir que es muy confortable, muy tranquilo y con todas las comodidades necesarias. Sus dimensiones y decoración extraordinarias consiguen que la experiencia de alojarse allí sea magnífica. Nos llevamos un magnífico recuerdo.

Great place and we had a really great stay overall! Location is prime with great access to all that San Sebastián has to offer. Host was super helpful and responsive throughout our stay.

Helen kept us well informed of where to park and arrival instructions. We arrived later than expected due to car issues and she arranged for a lovely helpful friend to meet us. The apartment was immaculately clean and well equipped, with everything that you could need plus lots of extra touches. There was milk, Beer, water and soft drink in the fridge which was appreciated and plenty of tea/ coffee and condiments if needed. The apartment was spacious and everywhere smelt clean and inviting. I would not hesitate to recommend staying at Helens place

Great location in the old town. Street to front of the building a bit noisy on weekend nights. 3 bedrooms to the rear are very quiet. Walking to a big selection of restaurants only takes minutes. Javier was very helpful & answered promptly for a few queries. Overall very pleased & would definitely recommend to friends & family.

Ignacio, greeted us on arrival and went through everything we needed to access property. He also gave us a map and marked on it places that we were keen to explore. Ignacio also sent texts with buses, Taxi info and a lot of restaurants, Pinto places and bars. Would i recommend staying here, absolutely. just be mindful you will need a bus to get to the beach, but there are 2 stops 50/100 metres away and they run constantly. Ignacio was extremely friendly and helpful. Russell
