Vacation rentals in Artemonas

Wow! Staying at vivi’s place was so idyllic. The flat has everything you need and even a little private patio. Vivi was so lovely and welcoming and gave us loads of tips and useful information like bus timetables. The location is a couple of minutes walk into steno (the Main Street in appollonia) and close to all the bus and hiking routes. Perfect, peaceful and amazingly good value. Plus we loved the gifts at the end :)

This is one of the most wonderful airbnbs I have stayed in. So charming and wonderful. Talila is such a kind and gracious host, happy to chat but not imposing. If you don’t like cats, this may not be the place for you. We love cats and knew that there were many. They’re all friendly and not imposing unless you show you want to pet them. The details are wonderful, AC was great, shower was just wonderful with no shortage of hot water. There are beach towels and extra bath towels provided which was a thoughtful touch. We could have stayed for a month we were so comfortable. It was idyllic. Be sure to hike to the church on the next beach down and eat at the second restaurant on that beach (they open at noon-their Sifnos chickpea soup and lamb dishes were unreal). We also loved Angie’s Taverna! There is a small mini mart -cafe that is walkable. There is a bit of a trek to get to the house including a bit of beach, so travel light-ish here. We just loved it and Sifnos.

We loved staying at Niko's place. Such a beautiful property with so much rich history (his family has been living here for generations). The outdoor space was beautiful—we loved coming home at the end of the day watching the colors change as the sun set. The home's interior was also very carefully designed to retain its authentic appeal and looks just like in the photos. We appreciated Nikos's availability, and loved getting to know his adorable dog Bob! As a bonus (for cat lovers like us, at least) there is a sweet family of semi-feral kittens that loves to come visit. My only note would just be that the apartment has no air conditioning and does get quite hot inside when temperatures rise above 28/29 degrees C. Luckily for us it wasn't a problem as it was relatively cool the whole week, and the fans work well. Overall we had an amazing stay and hope to come back again in the future!

Best Airbnb on the island! This place offers amazing views and is somewhat secluded. It was nice not being in the main area. It was a very easy walk to all the shops and restaurants. We rented an ATV and explored almost the whole island. I definitely recommend doing that!! We are blown away by the host’s kindness and hospitality. Don’t forget to stop by his pottery shop and grab a Sifnos mug or plate that he makes!!! We were so sad to leave. 10/10 recommend!!!

Maro's home is true to its name, an authentic Sifnian home in the peaceful town of Artemonas. Maro was easy to reach, and kindly organised a taxi to pick us up from the port and provided advice on ferries. Check in was v straightforward. A short walk into Artemonas takes you to some lovely restaurants and bakeries, and you can also walk further into the main island town of Apollonia for more life. The buses are great to see the other villages and to get to the beach, though in the shoulder season the schedule is more limited. The house is cool and comfortable with lots of interesting decorations/artefacts. We cooked at home without trouble, and made good use of the outdoor shower as the bathroom inside is quite small and poorly ventilated [it perhaps dries out quicker in the peak summer heat!]. We enjoyed the terrace but would say the steps up are a bit tricky and definitely not for the unsteady. Overall, it was easy to feel at home. We loved our week in Sifnos and would come back :)

A beautiful house, a great architectonic design and a lovely terrace and garden where we’ve spent 5 delicious days. On top of this amazing house, the location cannot be better…5 minutes walking from the best places to walk, drink, eat in Artemona and an easy ride to everywhere in this beautiful island. And Rozina, apart from creating such amazing place for you to stay, is a priceless host, always pending on your doubts, requests and willing to help and support. We hope to be back in Anasa once again soon…

We really loved staying here. It was very peaceful and away from any roads surrounded by fields but a 15 minute walk into either town. (Uphill on the way back from Appollonia). Giannis made us very welcome, meeting us at the bus stop to show us in. He and his wife also invited us to enjoy some Church festivals which were a special experience for us. Artemonas has a mini market and bakeries and some lovely family run restaurants that we preferred to the more touristy ones in Appollonia. We used the buses to get around which were easy and cheap and reasonably regular . We downloaded the timetable and a 20 minute drive took us to some sandy quiet, tree lined beaches at Vathi or Faros. The veg garden at the apartment was dried out from lack of rain (none since February!) and we would love to return to see and enjoy it at another time of year. We had a lovely peaceful time staying here.

We loved staying in this sweet home! It’s conveniently located with great access to busses and loads of amazing food places! The views are stunning and the space was so comfortable! Nikos was so welcoming and gave great recommendations. This spot was a real gem!
