Surrounded by pastures, it's a short walk to the Mad River for swims and walks. The Mad River Brewery is less than a mile up the road. Excellent mountain biking is 1 mile away. In a 15 minute drive you can find the hip town of Arcata, surrounded by redwoods and hiking as well as a majestic coastline. Sundays 10 am to noon we host a family friendly ecstatic dance in the studio adjacent to the apartment. Expect music at that time. Come join us! Public Yoga classes are Tuesday & Saturday am.

Located in an upscale quiet neighborhood in the hills above Arcata, near extensive redwood hiking trails. Unwind in our sheltered outdoor living room, with a fire pit by the pond. Please keep voices low out of consideration for the neighbors.

Forest Grotto - Enjoy our Redwood Oasis

Welcome to our secluded grotto surrounded by Redwoods! This modern and quiet space will be a perfect respite for the many reasons you may be coming to Humboldt. Along with our local craftsman, we have created an oasis that will allow you to soak up the Redwoods, listen to the birds and watch the deer graze. Walking distance to the Majestic Arcata Community forest and Cal Poly Humboldt. As Arcata natives, we wanted to bring you a unique and unforgettable Humboldt experience.

There is one queen sized bed and a SMALL couch that can transform into a little bed. This property is located in a friendly neighborhood, and it has an added convenience of being right near a grocery store. Our restored, historic cottage is at the center of our vibrant community. Just two blocks from the Plaza and in close walking distance (5 minutes or less) to the best farmers' market, grocery stores, cafes, restaurants, a creperie, an excellent independent movie theater, an art store, record and book stores, and within a 10-15 minute walk to Redwood Park and the Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary. The YumYum Bungalow Cottage

The YumYum is an eclectic studio cottage nestled between town center and the redwood forest. The Community Redwood Forest, Cal Poly, and the Arcata Plaza are all just a short, lovely neighborhood walk away. The cottage was lovingly created using all natural (and often local materials). Most of the wood is salvaged old-growth meaning it might be as old as 2,000 years! Hosting is our passion and we take pride and joy in the honor to welcome you.
