What an incredible location, hosts, accommodation, and food! I need to give a special mention to Vihanga who was an amazing host and we had some amazing conversations and he helped me immensely with arranging transport for future trips, and also arranging a tuk tuk to drop and pick me up for the day. His Mother prepared an amazing dinner and breakfast (dinner was very reasonably priced too). I loved every minute of my stay - thank you! ❤️

Alba and her Partner Manolo were great hosts: always super helpfull, friendly and attentively. They gave us good advice and helped us with organizing trips to Sigiriya, Kaudulla, Dambulla and Pollonaruwa. To visit all this sites Sat Nam Village is the best place to stay! Cause after an exhausting trip you can relax perfectly in the beautiful garden in a hammock under a tree or in the brandnew pool. And don’t forget the fooood! We really enjoyed the rice and curry prepared by one of the lovely ladies who are working on the property! It was delicious. If you need some variation they also offer great Spanish food prepared by Alba herself! We totally enjoyed our stay, would definitely come back and can highly recommend Sat Nam Village for a cultural but at the same time very relaxing stay!

My room was large and clean, with a large, comfortable bed complete with large mosquito net, an en suite shower room and toilet, air conditioning, but no eating or cooking facilities. I did have the use of the fridge on the ground floor - beware of man-eating mosquitoes there. The location was quiet and a bicycle was available for exploring the area. There was a good restaurant / bakery across the road, the railway station was 5 minutes away by tuk tuk and the Old City about 3km away. Everything was satisfactory.

Die Hotelzimmer und das Restaurant sind familiengeführt. Das Frühstück und das Abendessen sind äußerst lecker und üppig. Es stehen auch Gesellschaftsspiele zur Verfügung. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, sie unterstützen bei der Planung von Ausflügen. Unsere Klimaanlage war abends defekt, der Gastgeber selbst kam um 23:30 Uhr raus, um sich die Klimaanlage anzuschauen und keine 12 Stunden später war der Elektriker vor Ort, um es zu reparieren. Bravo! Weiter so! Ein toller Platz zum Verweilen, ich kann ihn nur empfehlen!

Back of Beyond Pidurangala is located in the middle of a forest with a thick tree cover. Its evident the hotel has done its best to preserve the nature as much as possible. Walking distance to the pidurangala rock. Many beautiful lakes nearby, great food and friendly staff. Bikes can be rented for sight seeing. 5-stars for everything!!

Priya homestay est un petit paradis sur terre. C'est un family business tenu para un couple aimable et charmante. Le logement est propre et aménagé avec beacoup de goût. Excellente cuisine. Priya propose avec son tuk tuk des Excursions à des prix imbatables. Le meilleur logement que j'ai vu ici. Merci

Ein super Ort, um die angrenzenden Berge zu erkunden. Vom Felsen auf dem Grundstück aus kann man super den Sonnenaufgang beobachten.

메니저와 직원들은 너무나도 친절했고 관광지나 모든 주변에 대한 정보를 친절하게 알려주었다. 숙소는 깨끗하고 주변의 자연경관 또한 훌륭했으며 캔디로가는 버스정류장이 일분 거리에 있어 편안했고 직원들은 버스정류장까지 배웅해주었다. 너무나도 친절하고 아름다운 위치의 숙소에 머무를 수 있어서 우리가족에게 큰 행복을 주었다. 너무 감사합니다

Wir waren mehr als zufrieden mit dem Aufenthalt. Das Ehepaar war sehr gastfreundlich und alles sah aus wie auf den Bildern. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Es gibt eine eigene Menukarte und das Frühstück (im Preis inbegriffen) variierte täglich. Auf individuelle Wünsche wurde dabei eingefangen. Die Entfernung zu den nahegelegenen Sehenswürdigkeiten war super machbar. Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft zu 100 Prozent!

Our stay at Monaara was perfect (location, staff was genuinely kind and pro, really delicious food, beautiful surroundings, perfect accomodation -so much better than we expected with the photographs when we booked online end 02.2025). Nested in the quiet area of the lake near by, away from the town itself, Monaara was easy to find;village vibe with its organic garden, rice fields around. Flat area perfect to explore on bike that Waduge found for us (1500SRL/day/bike) even a bike for our 9 y old daughter! Fantastic! The rides were divine, especially at sunrise, when the mist rises up at the sound of singing from the temples. Our room (area over the kitchen) was large (two double beds for us 3), a comfy sitting area, large bathroom, all in a wooden cosy design, perfectly clean. Filtered water to the tap, waste produces metan for cooking! What a special place! Good A/C, nice roof top and swimming-pool. Very rich wildlife. Thanks to the whole staff, for giving us such a pleasant stay!

Die Unterkunft ist ein sehr schöner Ort. Der Ausblick ist wunderbar und wenn man Glück hat kan man Elfefanten beobachten. Besonders toll ist das hilfbereite und stets freundliche Personal . Frühstück & Abendessen sind lecker und vielfältig. Die Zimmer besitzen über einen tollen Ausblick und sind modern eingerichtet. Der Pool und das Restaurant sind älter aber haben den gewissen Charme und wir haben uns gleich wohl gefühlt. Das Hotel liegt auf einem Hügel und deshalb ist es ruhiger. Unser Aufenthalt war toll! Danke :)

We were the first family to stay in this resort. So everything was new and never used. Although not all villa's on this park were finished it was a perfect stay and there was no noise from development on the other villa's. We were welcomed by a jeep waiting to be picked up and driven to the villa deep in the jungle. Arrived at the villa we were welcomed by a nice cold drink and frozen towel to refreshen your face. We had requested to arrange a jeep safari in wilpattu National parc which was priced lower than other companies around the area. We also had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the villa. Which was super delicious. Especially recommend the chicken curry. The villa had a private pool and some rooms even have a bathtub on the balcony! When this place is fully constructed it will definitly be a 5 star luxury resort.

Really nice apartment with a very friendly host! You have a nice view on the lions rock when you eat breakfast and the pool was also very nice. I would definitely recommend going here!

Goede accommodatie in Dambulla. Ongelooflijk vriendelijke gastheer! Wij wouden wat later uitchecken gezien we pas heel laat naar de luchthaven moesten vertrekken en dit was geen probleem. We mochten ons zelfs nog douchen in de kamer nadat we al uitgecheckt hadden, super vriendelijk! Zalig zwembad ook

Der Host selber ist nicht im Hotel, hat aber bei Fragen schnell geantwortet. Der Rezeptionist war super freundlich und lustig, hat alle Fragen beantwortet, Tipps gegeben und für gute Unterhaltung gesorgt. Die Zimmer waren groß und sehr sauber. Die Anlage hat einen wunderschönen Garten. Sie ist in der Nähe der Hauptstraße, aber es ist nicht laut. Alle Läden, Restaurants und Sigirya Rock usw. sind fußläufig erreichbar. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Es war ein toller Aufenthalt, ich komme sehr gerne wieder!

Where do I even begin with this magical place? First the actual place: it's located down a long winding track on the banks of a beautiful little lake. The immaculately maintained cottages open up to either the lake or a verdant forest. You are met every morning by a cacophony of bird chants. There's a huge natural boulder on the property from which to contemplate the universe. The four dogs - Dexter, Tani, Kalu, Moy - provide company on walks unprompted while the five-month-old kitten Sudhu provides cuddles on site! What makes this place truly memorable are the couple who run it - Amila's parents Kumari and Somadasa. I have rarely met such warm, generous, caring, attentive people. Kumari provides food on request and uses hyper-local produce to prepare delicious, quintessentially Sri Lankan food. Far better than the expensive local restaurants. You may be in middle of the jungle but local attractions and amenities are just 15 mins away! I hope to come back again and again.

Nirupa’s place was a lovely surprise. It’s modern, stylish, and built to a high standard, meeting very Western expectations in terms of design and comfort. The bathroom, in particular, was super modern and comfortable. The pool was also great for relaxing. The staff was very attentive, and the food was really good. The property is still under development—at the moment, there are three bungalows, with more being built. But even now, it’s a great place to stay, and we’re sure it will be even better once everything is finished. For the price, we didn’t find anything in Anuradhapura that offered the same level of comfort and quality, so we can definitely recommend it. We also booked a private guide through the accommodation, who gave us a great tour of the city’s sights, and they arranged a laundry service for us, which was really convenient. A special thanks to Nirupa’s daughter, Mashika, who was very friendly, quick to help, and spoke excellent English. We really enjoyed our stay!

Unseren leider nur sehr kurzen Aufenthalt haben wir mehr als genossen. Die Unterkunft ist nicht weit weg von lokalen Straßen Restaurants und der Berg Sigiriya ist nur 10min mit dem Auto entfernt. Man wird mit feuchten Tüchern und Getränk empfangen. Extrem aufmerksames Personal. Man kann sich Tag und Nacht beim Personal wegen Problemen und allem anderen melden. Die Zimmer sind wunderbar. Mitten in der Natur, mit Balkon im grünen. Aber Achtung, da es sehr (zu) sauber ist, besteht ausrutsch Gefahr in der Unterkunft :D sehr schöne Anlage auch mit Poolanlage. Wir waren überrascht, dass das Frühstück inkludiert war! Es war wundervoll angerichtet mit Erklärung zu den jeweiligen (typisch Sri Lankanischen) Produkten. Wir haben uns sehr sehr Wohlgefühlt und das vor allem dank der lieben, aufmerksamen Mitarbeiter. Danke dafür nochmal.
