Lovely place and just as it was described. Cooked steak and shrimp on the grill one night and everything worked fantastic. Very close to town-ate out at the Altana Rooftop Lounge on Friday night and it was a very nice location downtown. The bed was firm and one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in (on the road) in years. The deck and hot tub facing the creek was perfect Overall a wonderful trip we look forward to coming back Thanks for being a great host!!

Enjoyed our stay at Vanessa’a lake house. It was absolutely beautiful inside and out. We enjoyed the hot tub and watching the wildlife in area. This place is the perfect spot if you’re looking to check out the hot springs as well.

It was such a peaceful, beautiful place to stay. The cabin was pristine and had everything we could ever need. Chrissy was so responsive and helpful with the check in. We will definitely be back again!

O lugar é maravilhoso, uma das paisagens mais lindas que já vi, para onde se olha a vista é deslumbrante. A casa é bem equipada, na cozinha tem várias comodidades, cafeiteira, air fryer, fogao a gas excelente (só falta um microondas), o chuveiro é um espetáculo com bastante pressão, as TVs são enormes e a caixa jbl faz ficar um cinema, a internet também é excelente já que sinal de celular não pega nas proximidades! Vale a pena contratar o café da manhã que é bem gostoso e farto, entregue na cabana. Também tem ar condicionado bem potente então seja calor ou frio dá pra ficar bem confortável. Talvez seria interessante colocar cortinas blackout no quarto pois a hora que nasce o sol a claridade é bem forte ja que o teto e paredes são de vidro. Em resumo o lugar é para quem gosta de silêncio e paz junto à natureza, o anfitrião é muito prestativo e querido, gostamos tanto que já fizemos a próxima reserva!

We had such a wonderful and relaxing stay! Both the jetted tub and hot tub were big highlights—perfect for unwinding. It was a treat to look out and see deer passing by, along with the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The place felt incredibly comfortable and clean—truly like a home away from home.

So relaxing! We are always so busy and on the go, so this was the perfect spot for us! Private, and quiet; we enjoyed how peaceful it was. The space was super cute and clean and had everything we needed. Did some fishing, relaxed in the hot tub, and ate at a couple of local restaurants, The Wellwood, and The Forge. The only thing we didn’t enjoy, was leaving! Looking forward to going back! ❤️

The Lighthouse Lakehouse was very cute and cozy. It was so peaceful eating my breakfast on the deck every morning - staring out at the water and listening to the sounds of nature. If you want tranquility, this place is it. My teens enjoyed paddleboarding on the lake each evening. We spent the majority of our time at the AirBnb, but also enjoyed scenic hikes to nearby waterfalls and touring Blanchard Springs Caverns. It was the perfect start to our summer.

We wish we could have stayed longer than one night. I could have spent all day sitting on the enclosed porch and watching the birds. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We also enjoyed the turtles in the pond. The cottage itself had everything you could possibly need. We felt right at home. We really enjoyed our time here.

A little off the beaten path but an absolute amazing place to wind down especially if you’re looking for a break from the city atmosphere. Kenny was fabulous, the home was perfect or our little reading retreat! Will definitely stay on the list for future travel!

I appreciate how accommodating Robin was. The scenery and surrounding landscape was absolutely beautiful like staying in a green house cabin with peacocks and serenity. Really a place of encouragement to move into a cabin on land. I appreciated the flexibility and quick responses.

Jeffrey is very kind! We were unable to stay there due to the lake conditions and flooding!! He was very kind to refund us due to the lake conditions! We will try again next summer! Well worth going back when conditions are good.

The Stone Cabin came highly recommended from a friend. After visiting and staying for a weekend I can truly appreciate and understand why. My wife and I reserved the cabin for our anniversary weekend. We heard it was a place to disconnect from the world at large and connect to each other and the outdoors. The cabin made it feel like stepping back to a simpler time and a slower pace. Renee met us at the gate and led us back into the property, a fire already started at the fire pit outside the cabin. Since it was our first time visiting she showed us what we needed to do for lighting and stove use, asked us if we had any questions, provided us with information to reach her if we needed anything, and then wished us a wonderful weekend.A must see is the sunset at the gate. Bring some snacks and drinks and enjoy the gorgeous view, make yourself a little fire there if you want to. My wife and I absolutely loved this place and already started talking about a return trip.

Always love staying here. It’s so beautiful, right on the shores of Lake Erie and at the mouth of the Talbot Creek. It’s so private, like your very own private world. Swimming, kayaking and canoeing, hiking, camp fires on the beach, or do nothing at all-and so much more. It’s South Ontario’s secret getaway.

Total tranquility. This home framed the beautiful waterfall from almost every room. It's truly secluded, with 360 degree views of the forest and no other homes visible through the green canopy. All you could hear was the soothing sound of the water. After dark it was so peaceful to look up at the bright stars and fireflies. Loved late evening nightcaps around the gas fire-feature on the deck. Luxury soaking tub allowed a direct view of the falls, cranking open a window for the water audio. The kitchen was well supplied for cooking, with a good grocery store in Independence, 15 minutes away. Were also a few restaurants in Independence, of particular note is Angie's for delicious chef prepared dishes. You can be at several access points to the hiking/biking trail in New River Trail State Park within 30 minutes, which we greatly enjoyed. We want to come back for another special getaway in the future!

We had such a wonderful stay at Lauren’s gorgeous home. It was beautifully decorated and a great base for our travels. We enjoyed evenings on the dock and mornings on the porch. It’s honestly one of the dreamiest houses we’ve ever stayed in.

One word. PERFECT. The host was very nice and sent a message the day we checked in, well before the check in time, explaining exactly how to get to the cabin, where the key was ect. My friend and I brought a ton of movies and games and activities so we spent most of our time indoors but the time outside was great! We spent a fair amount of time outside on the porch (which has fans) on the rocking chairs and the hammock on the deck. I’m usually a mosquito magnet but in the 5 days we stayed I only got bit once on the last night. There was way more included than I expected as well! Kitchen had everything we needed to cook and extremely clean. The host also had a little booklet on the table giving a brief overview of anything they could think of from remotes to light switches as well as checkout instructions. There was also a binder with local restaurant menus as well as recommendations for things to do in the area. All in all everything was great and easy and we cant wait to stay again!

La casa es muy bonita, adecuada si tienes ganas de alejarte del ruido de la ciudad. Es ideal para ir en pareja o solo con adultos, no sé si sea tan conveniente llevar niños porque las escaleras al cuarto son algo peligrosas. Debes llevar tu comida para no estar saliendo, la cocina está bien equipada. Estábamos preocupados por la llegada ya que muchos dicen que es difícil pero la vdd no. Solamente debes llevar un coche adecuado, porque si está algo empinado. Las vistas son preciosas y todo estaba muy limpio (se agradece), nos respondían rápido a nuestras dudas, estuvieron siempre al pendiente. La alberca es pequeña pero linda. No se arrepentirán si se animan a ir.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. It is a nice, hidden away location. Great if you want peace and quiet. We just wanted to relax for the weekend, and this was just the right place for it. My wife even wants to go back next year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!! This is an ideal location for fishing getaway; the home leads right up to the water's edge and you can fish directly off the back porch! There is also a paddleboat and 2 Kayaks available to be used that provide access to the rest of the lake. We caught lots of bass, bluegill, and a few bullheads at night! The place itself is very homey and well-maintained, and we had access to plenty of cookware and some basic ingredients / spices for cooking meals. The location is pretty remote, so bringing in food to have was definitely a good move. The nights were peaceful with only the sounds of crickets and frogs, and there's a space on the porch to have a small fire. Overall, I'd highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a fishing retreat, and hope to stay here again in the future!
